World market leader Anton Paar buys Hungarian company Terra-Net Kft.
Following the purchase of the Mahle company building in Wolfsberg at the beginning of September 2019, the Graz-based Anton Paar Group AG continues to invest in its subsidiary, Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH. With the acquisition of the Hungarian supplier Terra-Net Kft., production capacities are further expanded.
With the second site expansion within one month, Anton Paar ShapeTec continues on its expansion course. Terra-Net Kft. and Anton Paar completed the acquisition process on October 1, 2019 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. Terra-Net Kft. specializes in the production of plastic parts and the assembly of components. Anton Paar intends to further expand these two production focal points in the future and is thus also focusing on technology expansion within the company. "With this purchase, we have access to high-quality, metal-cutting production technology in the plastics sector and this fits perfectly with our plans to expand our customer portfolio," explains Johannes Bernsteiner, Managing Director of Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH. Therefore, not only will all 67 employees be taken on, but another ten are to be hired over the course of the next year.
Ideal production site
Commenting on the new site in Hungary, Dr. Friedrich Santner, CEO of Anton Paar Group AG, explains: "Of course we would have liked to expand the site in Wundschuh, but this was not possible due to the lack of available premises. With the purchase of this establishment, we can not only take over the entire production as it is now, we are also expanding our production technology and still have capacity for future expansions." Anton Paar's now tenth production facility is only a two-hour drive away from the headquarters in Graz and offers ideal conditions on the total 7,000 m² company premises for a seamless continuation of production by Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH from January 2020. László Kassai, previous principal owner of Terra-Net Kft: " Anton Paar is a long-standing customer of ours, so I know their fine corporate culture. They are the world leader in several areas of scientific measurement and set the highest standards in production and technology. They invest in research and development and stand for an appreciative treatment of their employees. Therefore, I am very happy that this company will be continued by Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH."
